PAX
Peace • Productivity • Health • Happiness
The goal of PAX is to teach students to self monitor and self regulate. PAX reinforces peer support for prosocial behaviors. Students notice the good in each other. They support and reinforce positive (PAX) behaviors. Children are the heroes for the changes within themselves and the world around them. EVERYONE is a PAX Leader!
The motto for PAX is, "I better my world, and I better myself."

Introducing PAX and PAX Language
Our Class MORE PAX Vision and LESS Pax Vision
Our Pax More and Less Visions describe the behaviors we want to see more of in our wonderful classroom and what behaviors we want to see less of in our classroom. We call the more behaviors, PAX, and we call the less behaviors, Spleems.

The PAX and Spleem Challenge
Students completed a PAX and Spleem Challenge to help reinforce agreed upon classroom behaviors! They worked with a partner or triad, chose one PAX and one Spleem. They created their plan and had it approved. They had a certain amount of time to build their models using only the supplies provided. (This was also practice in working within a time constraint with only a limited amount of supplies!) Students practiced presenting with their partner/triad and presented their models to the class.

PAX Tootle Notes
The word Tootle is a made-up word that means the opposite of a tattle. Students and teachers write each other Tootle Notes when they want to share their thanks, appreciation, recognition of accomplishments or positive behaviors.
